What is TMA

Who belongs to TMA?

With international headquarters in Chicago, TMA´s 7,000 members in 34 regional chapters comprise a professional community of turnaround practitioners, attorneys, accountants, investors, lenders, venture capitalists, appraisers, liquidators, executive recruiters and consultants.

How do you contact a chapter?

On the home page of the Website, click on Chapters. A list of chapters by state, region and country comes up with the president as the chief contact and a link to its Website. While on that chapter´s website, you can view all the board members or committees for more contacts by going up to the About TMA tab and clicking on Board or Committees.

Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals (ACTP)

The Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals (ACTP) is the sole international organization dedicated to developing, monitoring, and maintaining a program of certification for professionals engaged in the turnaround, crisis management, restructuring and renewal of troubled businesses, organizations and associations. ACTP´s certification program is designed to encourage professional excellence and to provide an objective measure and recognition of expertise. ACTP is a non-profit corporation and maintains its administrative headquarters in Chicago, IL.

To become a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), professionals must meet stringent standards of education, experience and professional conduct which have been developed and are administered by the ACTP Standards Committee in conjunction with the ACTP Faculty.
The certification program is designed to encourage professional excellence and to provide an objective measure and recognition of expertise related to workouts, restructurings and corporate renewal.

TMA and ACTP

The ACTP is sponsored by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), the only organization in the North America that brings together those interested in corporate restructuring for the purpose of professional advancement and exchange of knowledge. Consultants, interim mangers, lawyers, accountants, lenders and investors are among those members served by the TMA.
